Our commitment to GDPR
The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force on 25 May 2018 (Including in the UK despite article 50 being formally triggered on 29 March 2017 – ‘Brexit’).
The objective was to harmonise data protection law framework across the EU. GDPR imposes obligations on companies that control or process personal data.
Select Lifestyles have implemented appropriate technical and security processes to ensure that we comply with the GDPR obligations. Alongside Synium, Select Lifestyles are actively working towards the Cyber Essentials accreditation and are on track to achieve this by the end of 2019.
Working closely with Synium IT over the past few years, we have taken various steps toward achieving company-wide GDPR regulation high standards that ensure all our data and the data we handle is kept safe.
Our Synium IT Support plan includes a GDPR compliance review, which aims to ensure that our data acquisition, management and security policies and processes conform to the regulations.
